Tevez Bags 250hr Community Service

We got a report that Argentina forward Carlos Tevez has been sentenced to 250 hours of community service for driving while disqualified and without insurance.
The Macclesfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday sentenced the Manchester City striker after pleading guilty to both driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
The Argentine has also been handed another six month disqualification from driving and a fine of £1,000.
Magistrate for the case Elizabeth Depares ruled that the 29-year-old “had served a significant proportion of his disqualification” when he was stopped by police, and as such a community penalty was preferable to a custodial sentence.
Lawyer Gwyn Lewis stated for the defence that the whole episode has been completely alien to Tevez and very frightening. He has full understanding of the seriousness of this.
Lewis added that it would be “highly unlikely” that Tevez would re-offend, and recommended that the magistrate impose a sentence of “unpaid work”.
Tevez entered the guilty plea in Spanish via an interpreter after being stopped by police outside of Mottram Hall Hotel and Golf Club in Cheshire.

When will this kind of action takes place in Nigeria? Maybe  when  you, that is reading this article  become the Leaders.Honestly, the rate of reckless driving in Kubwa Express way Abuja sometimes you think as if it was a movie so so dramatic kind of accidents. May God continue to help us including our Naija.
