A must read part two!

ANDREA GILBERTSON, 41, runs a motivational and finance website. She is single and lives alone in North Shields. She had an abortion nearly 15 years ago and says:

My friend Sally and I were on holiday in Dublin when we got chatting to two men in a bar. The alcohol flowed, the lads turned their Irish charm on us and Sally whispered that she was going for a walk with one of the guys.

That left me with his friend, who asked me back to his apartment. Not wanting to spend the rest of the evening alone, I agreed and we ended up having way too much to drink and having a one-night stand. We parted without swapping contact details the next morning and never saw each other again.

I’m not proud of it, especially as we failed to use contraception, something which came back to haunt me a month later in July 1999 when, during a routine smear test, I discovered I was pregnant.

I was mortified. How could I have allowed this to happen? I was 27, I’d just bought my own house and had a great job as a travel agent. I didn’t even know the surname of the man who’d got me pregnant and I was adamant I didn’t want to bring up a fatherless child.

200 women troops sent home for being pregnant

More than 200 servicewomen have been sent home from war zones after discovering they were pregnant.

An astonishing 99 were evacuated from Afghanistan and 102 from Iraq under rules that ban mothers-to-be from serving on the front line.

Commanders ordered them to return to Britain – sometimes on flights reserved for injured troops – as soon as their condition became known.

Incredibly, female soldiers are not forced to take a pregnancy test before deploying because top brass believe it would be an invasion of privacy.

But the Ministry of Defence has faced calls to introduce compulsory tests because it is ‘unacceptable’ that other service personnel are placed at risk of attack while evacuating pregnant women from the front line.

Pregnancy tests can be bought from High Street chemists for less than £10 and can give a result as soon as seven days after conception.

Shocking photo shows battered pensioner after........................................

This shocking photograph shows the bloodied state of a 76-year-old former teacher after she was beaten by a thug in her home.

Jean Taylor answered the door to a man who spoke to her for several minutes before forcing his way in.

He then beat the pensioner  about the head with a doorstop, leaving her with cuts, bruises and covered in blood before making off with £100.

Miss Taylor, who needs a walking stick to get around, has been left traumatised and is still having treatment for her injuries.

Police released the image of her in a bid to catch the man responsible for the attack in the Totterdown area of Bristol at around 2pm on Tuesday, January 28.

Nuisance beggar caught with £800 in his pocket....................

A beggar that police believe isn't even homeless has boasted of raising £800 in just three days.
The unidentified man was found to be carrying the substantial sum of money when officers arrested him in Nottingham city centre on an unrelated matter on February 4, but they were forced to let him keep the cash when they could find no evidence to prove he had obtained it illegally.

Nottinghamshire Police now fears the man could be one of 10 'hardcore' beggars operating in the city, none of who are thought to be genuinely homeless or in need of help.
Police officers originally arrested the unidentified man last week after he failed to turn up at Lincolnshire Court on an unrelated matter.
Upon searching him they discovered a haul of £800 in notes and coins in his pockets.
Police said that although the man is well known as a prolific beggar, they were forced to hand the money back to him as he had been arrested for something else and it could not be proven that he had broken any law in obtaining it. The man was later released without charge.
A police spokeswoman told MailOnline: 'As far as we know the man isn't actually homeless. He is just sitting shivering and people feel sorry for him. If he doesn't actually ask for money, he hasn't broken the law.'

Microsoft Corporation to end Windows XPs soon

Microsoft Corporation has released the date to end windows XP operating system. Mind you, there are still some financial institution and other private companies who are adamant to changes because they feel  maintaining  IT equipments is too expensive, while few complain of software compatibility but, as for me, windows XP still remain my best windows, is so compactable to any software  while windows vista was the poorest. Wisely, the introduction of Windows 7 operating system redeemed the image of Microsoft Corporation.
Life we all know is not static but dynamic, so we owned ourselves the responsibility to adapt to changes when is necessary to do so. Below is the report from Microsoft Corporation:

Microsoft has provided support for Windows XP for the past 12 years. But now the time has come for us, along with our hardware and software partners, to invest our resources toward supporting more recent technologies so that we can continue to deliver great new experiences.

As a result, after April 8, 2014, technical assistance for Windows XP will no longer be available, including automatic updates that help protect your PC. Microsoft will also stop providing Microsoft Security Essentials for download on Windows XP on this date. (If you already have Microsoft Security Essentials installed, you will continue to receive anti-malware signature updates for a limited time, but this does not mean that your PC will be secure because Microsoft will no longer be providing security updates to protect your PC.)

If you continue to use Windows XP after support ends, your computer will still work but it might become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Also, as more software and hardware manufacturers continue to optimize for more recent versions of Windows, you can expect to encounter greater numbers of apps and devices that do not work with Windows XP.

What does it mean if my version of Windows is no longer supported?

Women threaten 'sex strike' against men

A group of women have launched a sex boycott against men who voted for the newly elected governor of Tokyo, after he claimed females were unfit for government because of their menstruation cycles.
Yoichi Masuzoe claimed in an interview with a men's magazine that women were not able to make critical decisions when they having a period because they are 'not normal'.
A Twitter campaign called 'the association of women who will not have sex with men who vote for Masuzoe' has gained 3,000 followers since it launched last week.
However, despite their best efforts, the former health minister backed by Japan's ruling party, won Tokyo's gubernatorial election on Sunday, defeating two candidates who had promised to end nuclear power.
The anonymous group founders say in their profile: 'We have stood up to prevent Mr Masuzoe, who makes such insulting remarks against women [from being elected] … We won't have sex with men who will vote for Mr Masuzoe.'
In the 1989 interview he said women were irrational because of their menstrual cycle.
He said: 'Women are not normal when they are having a period … You can't possibly let them make critical decisions about the country [during their period] such as whether or not to go to war.'
A second petition website was also launched on Wednesday, by a group of women trying to stop him from becoming governor of Tokyo, attracting 75,000 hits a day, the Guardian reports.
Masuzoe's victory was declared in exit polls on public broadcaster NHK within minutes after voting closed.
Masuzoe, 65, appeared smiling before cameras, with his supporters shouting 'Banzai,' and promised to make Tokyo 'the No. 1 city in the world.'
The ballot was widely seen as a test for Japan's public opinion on atomic power in a nation shaken by the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
But the anti-nuclear camp was divided between two candidates — former Prime Minister Morihiro Hosokawa and human-rights lawyer Kenji Utsunomiya.
Masuzoe garnered about 30 percent of the vote, according to NHK exit polls.
Hosokawa and Utsunomiya got about 20 percent each, indicating that if the anti-nuclear vote had been united, a win by either might have been possible.
Official vote tallies were not expected until Monday.

Church clock maintained by dedicated doctor stopped the moment he passed away

A church clock maintained by a devoted doctor for almost thirty years stopped at the very same moment he passed away.

Dr John Farrer climbed the narrow stone spiraled stairs of the St James' Church clock tower in Clapham, North Yorkshire, every week for three decades.

He died at his home aged 92 surrounded by family on New Year's Day.

The man's son, also Dr John Farrer, glanced at his watch as his father slipped away - and later realised the church clock also stopped at the exact same time.

Dr Farrer said: 'The clock stopped literally to the minute of dad's death. As a family doctor I'm used to looking at my watch because sometimes it can be critical for the death certificate.
The doctor, pictured as a young man, continued working as a medic until he was 70

Man with 14 inch TAIL Indian worshipped..............................................

A man with a 14.5-inch hairy tail growing from his back has been hailed as a god by villagers in India.
Chandre Oraon, 35, was born with a patch of hair on his lower back and has refused to have it cut, leading to locals believing that he is an incarnation of Hindu monkey deity Hanuman.
Worshippers travel hundreds of miles to queue up outside his house in Alipurduar, West Bengal, to seek blessings by touching his tail
Mr Oraon, who works as a tea picker, said: ‘I am Hanuman. People have a lot of respect for me because of my tail. I don't mind the tail at all. It is a gift by god.’
His followers see his ability to climb trees as proof that he is Hanuman, and believe he has healing powers.
Monika Lakda, who had travelled overnight to see Mr Oraon at his small makeshift shrine, said: ‘My brother's son was once very unwell and had fever.

‘We gave him medicine but it did not work. So we came to Chandre to seek his blessings. The baby recovered soon after that.
‘We believe that Chandre is an incarnation of Hanuman. They say he was born on the Holy Hanuman day. So we have faith in him.’
Doctors have offered to have the long tail removed, something which Chandre has vehemently resisted.

He said: ‘Once my mother chopped of my tail when I was young. Soon after, I got a high fever and I was very sick. My mother told me that I almost died.

‘After that, everyone said I must keep the tail. My family said they felt me getting sick was a sign that my tail was divine.’
HOW SPINA BIFIDA CAN AFFECT SUFFERERS' BODIES
Spina bifida is a fault in the development of the spine and spinal cord which leaves a gap in the spine.
It occurs when something goes wrong during the first month of an embryo's development meaning the spinal column doesn't close fully.
Exactly why this happens is not known but the most significant risk factor that has been identified is a lack of folic acid before pregnancy and in the very early weeks of pregnancy.
Symptoms of the condition include learning difficulties, paralysis of the lower limbs and incontinence.
Spina bifida occulta is the least serious type of spina bifida and causes just a very small opening in the spine.
This opening tends to be covered with skin so the gap is not visible externally, as it can be with other forms of spina bifida.
However, this skin often contains a hairy patch or a birth mark.
It usually does not cause any symptoms meaning most people are unaware they have the condition.
Spina bifida affects about one child in every 2,500.
Mr Oraon’s tail is a result of the birth defect spina bifida, which can result in lower-back growths or, as in Mr Oraon’s case, a tuft of hair, which can grow into a tail if left uncut.
Spina bifida occurs when the spinal column does not close all of the way down – it is one of the most common permanently disabling birth defects.
It is highly likely that Mr Oraon was born with a form of spina bifida called spina bifida occulta.
A spokesperson for Shine, a spina bifida charity, told MailOnline that it is quite common for children with spina bifida to have a hairy patch on their back.
Mr Oraon's uncle, Baldev Ram, said: ‘With age, his tail has also been growing longer. So, we realised very early that he has the blessings of God.’
Despite having found fame as a revered Godman, Mr Oraon admits it wasn't always easy.
He said: ‘When I was young, kids in the village used to make fun of me and my tail.
'They used to laugh. They used to pull my tail just for fun.’
And he revealed that his tail was also a turn-off for the ladies - with his family saying over 20 women rejected his romantic advances before he met wife Maino, 38.
He said: ‘A few women rejected my proposals. I had gone to see a girl once. She immediately noticed that I have a tail.
'She refused to marry me there and then. She said to my face it was because of my tail.’
Mr Oraon married Maino, 38, in 2007, before the couple had a daughter, five-year-old Radhika.
He is persevering with plans to build his own temple so he can offer mass blessings.
He said: ‘I want to build a temple. But I am poor man, so I am looking for some help. I work but then I don't earn much, so I need to find other ways to fund my dream.’

Wife logs on to Facebook to discover her..........................................

A bigamist was caught by his wife after she saw a photograph of him grinning with his new Gambian teenage bride on Facebook.

Nicolette Smith was further devastated when she noticed Stephen Smith, 52, had married Awa Jobarteh, 19, at the same African register office they tied the knot at seven years earlier.

Ms Smith then called the police, but incredibly her cheating former partner has avoided jail and claimed he was the victim.

The factory worker had been abandoned by his new young bride two days after arriving back in the UK, and she has never been traced.

Nicolette met her husband in 2001, after his first divorce, but has been left in financial ruin after their marriage breakdown.

She was declared bankrupt when Smith failed to pay the mortgage and is still waiting for her husband to sign divorce papers, Teesside Crown Court was told.

Defence: Stephen Smith claimed he was a victim after his young bride fled within two days of arriving in Britain

The 52-year-old was prosecuted for bigamy after he admitted 'hastily' rushing down the aisle with his third wife because he was in love.

The court heard that the day before the wedding Smith signed a petition for divorce from his second wife, which carried a signature purporting to be by Nicolette - but it was faked.

Nicolette admitted she was disappointed that he was given a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years with 150 hours' unpaid work.

'I feel as though he's got away with this and has been portrayed as some kind of victim himself after all that he's put me through. He knew if he responded to my divorce petition, he'd give away where he'd been hiding,' she said.

Discussing the way he was dumped by his new bride she told The Sun: 'She looked so young in the pictures and he looked a little pathetic. I don't know what else he could have expected'.

Smith claimed he was a wronged victim, duped and abandoned by his latest spouse after he met her in Gambia, married her on November 7, 2012 and brought her to the UK.

Smith married his second wife in December 2005. The marriage broke down two years later.

He went missing and her solicitors received no reply in efforts to start divorce proceedings. She then reported him to the police when she found out that he'd remarried.
Smith admitted a charge of bigamy, his first crime but said he had thought he was divorced and that his divorce was 'automatic'.

Robert Mochrie, defending, said: 'This was a man who acted rather hastily. It is, you might think, absurd somebody is getting married on the same day they are handed a divorce certificate. If he'd waited just a few months perhaps, a divorce might well have been finalised,' adding that Smith's motive was love.

'This defendant, born in 1961, was perhaps understandably taken by her and was keen to tie to knot,' said Mr Mochrie.

'He has been wronged. He was abandoned by his third wife. Her intentions were quite clearly to dupe a man of more senior years, as so often happens with men who travel to foreign lands to seek happiness.'

Judge Tony Briggs said he had 'considerable sympathy' for Smith's second wife, prevented from divorcing him by his lack of co-operation. He said: 'I can well understand her being extremely upset by the thought that you'd married again without the courtesy of going through a divorce with her.'

He did not know what was in the mind of Smith or his third wife, who has not been traced, adding that people were under a 'very considerable and serious duty' to divorce previous spouses before marrying again.

The judge also advised Smith, of Whitwell-on-the-Hill, North Yorkshire, to recognise reality and sort out his divorce.

Google starts selling corporate videoconferencing product

Reuters - Google Inc unveiled a videoconferencing system for businesses on Thursday, the Internet search company's latest effort generate revenue from corporate customers.

Google said it was partnering with Asus, Hewlett-Packard Co and Dell to offer a specialized version of its Chromebox PC that comes with videoconferencing gear, including a video camera and speakers.

The first Chromebox for meetings to be available is made by Asus and goes on sale in the U.S. on Thursday for $999, Google said. Customers can also pay a $250 annual service and management fee, though the first year is included in the product's sales price.

The product uses Google's free Hangouts video chat technology to connect up to 15 separate video streams from users in different locations.

The product will put Google in competition against Cisco Systems Inc and Polycom Inc, which make the video conferencing systems used by many corporations.

The world's largest Internet search engine, Google makes the vast majority of its revenue from advertising. But Google also sells services to corporate customers, including special versions of its online apps such as email and word processing, as well as Chromebook laptops aimed at business users.

ReSamsung launches the UK's first Wi-Fi washer

Finding time to put a load of washing on and take it out again before it starts to dry can be taxing when trying to juggle other household chores.
But Samsung has set out to make the job less onerous with the launch of a smart washing machine that can be operated using a smartphone app.

The WW9000 machine is the first domestic Wi-Fi washing machine to be sold in the UK.

It is also the first to be made by the company that allows a person to remotely control and monitor their washing using their mobile – letting them get about and about while their clothes are being cleaned.

Samsung is not the only manufacturer to offer machines that can interact with a smartphone.

LG and Haier have smart models and Samsung itself has equipped some current machines with a feature called Smart Check, which allows people to detect and diagnose errors with an app.

But the WW9000 is the only one in the range to let people start and stop a cycle from their mobile.

The futuristic washing machine, which will go on sale in May across Europe, also has a ‘super speed wash setting’ that cleans clothes in under an hour by quickly filling the drum with water through its twin water supply. It is not known if or when the model will be sold in the U.S. or Asia.

An 'auto optimal wash' option uses four sensing technologies to determine the right wash cycle, looking at temperature, washing time, rinse cycle and spin speed, based on the size of the laundry load and how dirty the clothes are.

It has intelligent settings to tackle specific kind of stains, including gardening and cooking, as well as sports and hygiene care functions, but Samsung has not yet said how much the smart machine will cost.

RThe array of options can be navigated by a 5inch colour touchscreen instead of knobs and dials so that the machine can easily display the most used and favourite settings to let users navigate all the options easily.

The machine has been designed to reduce the amount of energy used by using an ‘ecobubble’ generator to dissolve detergent quicker.

Central African Republic brutality...............

A group of soldiers in the Central African Republic lynched a man they suspected was a rebel minutes after hearing the new president's promise to restore security at a ceremony to reinstate the divided country's armed forces.

About 20 uniformed soldiers accused a member of the crowd of having belonged to Seleka - the mostly Muslim rebel group that seized power in a coup last March, before stabbing him repeatedly until he was dead.

A soldier stamped on the lifeless body, which was then dragged nearly naked through the streets as residents looked on and took photographs.

Ten minutes earlier the new interim president, Catherine Samba-Panza, stood just 20m away where she addressed a crowd of at least 1,000 soldiers.

The Army effectively disappeared during nine months of Seleka rule.

From cloud to clout

AT LAST, almost six months after Steve Ballmer said he was standing down as Microsoft’s chief executive, the company has anointed a successor: Satya Nadella, the head of its cloud and enterprise group (pictured). On February 4th the company also announced that Bill Gates, its founder, would be its chairman no longer, but would become a “technology adviser”. John Thompson, the director who oversaw the process of choosing Mr Nadella, will succeed Mr Gates as chairman.

Two months before he said he would relinquish his job, Mr Ballmer unveiled a reorganisation of the giant firm’s business structures, accounting and management, declaring that Microsoft would henceforth be a “devices and services” company. Since then much of the talk about Microsoft—apart from gossip about who might succeed Mr Ballmer—has been about devices. Microsoft is buying Nokia’s ailing mobile-phone business, which is by far the biggest maker of smartphones that use Microsoft’s mobile operating system. The firm’s Surface tablet, despite encouraging results last quarter, has not sold well. Its Xbox entertainment console, however, has gone like hot cakes.

A physicist teacher sacked.......................................

A teacher has been sacked after he accidentally shot a pupil with an air gun.
But the boy he injured has begun a Facebook campaign calling for him to be given his job back.
Popular physics teacher Richard West had been demonstrating an experiment to measure the deceleration of a pellet as it passed through sheets of paper when the freak accident occurred.
The pellet apparently deflected off a table, hitting 17-year-old AS-level pupil Ben Barlow in the leg.
Yesterday, as the Facebook page he set up in support of Mr West passed 2,170 ‘likes’, Ben said a safety pin could have caused him more harm.
He said he decided to study physics because of the 53-year-old teacher’s ability to ‘make the subject come alive’.

About 20 lower-sixth formers at St Peter’s Collegiate, Wolverhampton, volunteered to hold sheets of paper at arms-length over a line of desks, Ben said. He was about three-quarters of the way down the line when he was struck.

The Home Counties sinkhole that swallowed a CAR

Ever had that sinking feeling when you open the front door in the morning and wonder where you left the car?

Did you leave it on the road, park it in the garage... or has somebody stolen it?

The last thing you'd probably think of is that it might have been swallowed up by the ground

But that's exactly what happened to 19-year-old Zoe Smith, whose Volkswagen Lupo fell down a 30ft-deep sinkhole in the night.
