Girl gets stuck inside grabbing machine after climbing inside for a toy

Girl gets stuck inside grabbing machine after climbing inside for a toy
Trying to win a toy on a grabbing machine can be a frustrating pursuit, but one girl became completely stuck after she decided the claw was too tricky and climbed inside.
Her parents looked on in panic as they realised she was trapped in the grabbing machine at Thorpe Park, Surrey, on Sunday.
Despite their concern, the girl was pictured standing calmly among the toy Marios and Luigis, as the large metal claw dangled above her head.
Staff at the theme park eventually unlocked a side door of the machine and let the young girl out.
Nicola Swift, a company director from near Hindhead, Surrey, who was at the theme park with her two children, said people tried to push the girl back out of the flap without any success.
“The little girl in the grabber machine wasn’t making a sound but the father seemed quite worried”, Ms Swift told the Daily Mirror.

“There were a lot of people standing around watching but I don’t think the father spoke English because he wasn’t saying anything. He was just looking for help.
“They were trying to push her back out the flap but they couldn’t do it.
“It was weird because the girl didn’t seem concerned at all.”
In a similar incident last July, a four-year-old boy became stuck in a grabbing machine in Dawlish, Devon, after he crawled inside to get a toy.
Celebrating his birthday, Aiden Moore squeezed through a 10-inch gap in the grabbing machine before realising there was no way back.
It took half an hour for staff to find the key needed to release him, after his six-year-old brother Coen raised the alarm.
His mother Gemma Sherepita, 27, from Hereford, said: "Coen came running up to me laughing his socks off and told us Aiden was stuck in the grabbing machine.
"We were a bit concerned because we assumed he meant he had his arm stuck in the opening.
"But when I got round to the machine there he was, sat inside, with this big grin on his face as he held his new teddy under his arm.”
In June this year 39 thrill-seekers had to be rescued after they were stuck 20ft in the air on a rollercoaster ride for two hours.
Firefighters had to use ladders to cut the adults and children from their harnesses on the Rameses Revenge ride at Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey.
