Some property owners are so careless and selfish when it comes to renovating their house properties.Some of them act very fast collecting rent fees from tenants yet they are so reluctant in putting the houses in a good state.
Imagine a 21-year old woman has died inside a soak-away pit two weeks before her wedding.
The deceased identified as Akinjolie Idowu Wuraola was said to be four months pregnant(The pregnancy could just be the messiah of this country, you can't tell) when she fell into the soak-away pit at her residence at 2, Believer Street, Oluwo Opeilu, Ikija in Ogun state, southwest Nigeria.
Wuraola, a native of Ile Oluji Ondo State, was said to have washed some of her clothes on Friday morning and was about to hang them on the rope when she stepped on top of the soakaway pit covered with mud slab and the slab gave way and she fell inside the soakaway pit.
The deceased, P.M.NEWS gathered, was rushed to three hospitals before she eventually died.
When P.M.NEWS visited her residence, her neighbours were seen discussing the tragedy.
A lady in her early 20s who identified herself as Miss Ronke told our reporter that the late Wuraola was an easy going person, adding that she will be greatly missed by her friends and neighbours.
“She was such a nice person. She did not like quarrel. Everyone who knew her will surely miss her,” said Ronke.
All attempts to see her fiance, 32-year old Femi John, who hails from Kogi state proved abortive as no one could give our reporter his address.
Please be careful of the soak-away around your premises even if you think the soak-away was newly constructed hence there is no govt agency inspecting houses. May God help us all.
