Sony Pictures Boss Quits After Emails Hack

Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal is standing down in the wake of embarrassing emails that were leaked when the studio was hacked.
The movie-production company said on Thursday that she would launch a production venture for the studio in May.
The Hollywood mogul had apologised for "insensitive and inappropriate" comments in the email interactions which included racially charged remarks about President Barack Obama.
During her 20-year career at the studio, Ms Pascal was behind such hits as the last three James Bond films, The Da Vinci Code and American Hustle.
She also backed The Interview, a recent comedy about a plot to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, which may have sparked the cyber-attack on the studio in retaliation.
Sony Entertainment chief executive Michael Lynton said in a statement: "The studio's legacy is due in large part to Amy's passion for storytelling and love of this industry.
"I am delighted that Amy will be continuing her association with SPE through this new venture, which capitalizes on her extraordinary talents.

"In recent months, SPE faced some unprecedented challenges, and I am grateful for Amy's resilience and grace during this period."
Sony did not immediately disclose who would replace Ms Pascal, who rose to become one of the film industry's top female executives.
She said in a statement: "I have always wanted to be a producer.
Michael (Lynton) and I have been talking about this transition for quite some time and I am grateful to him for giving me the opportunity to pursue my long-held dream and for providing unparalleled support."
In the leaked emails, Ms Pascal and Hollywood producer Scott Rudin made disparaging remarks about President Obama's presumed movie choices, listing pictures starring African Americans.
Mr Rudin also spoke of Jolie's "rampaging spoiled ego".
